UP Board 2020 same pre board exams in all schools to analyse students, time table this month

UPMSP will conduct Uttar Pradesh board exams 2020 for class 10 and 12 from February 18, 2020, to March 16, 2020. Before the board exams, there will be pre board exams in all schools. Until last year, each school used to conduct its own pre boards. However from now onwards, it has been decided that the pre board exams will be same in all schools, as per reports.

This decision has been taken so that students can analyse their performance against the same question paper, throughout the state. Otherwise students who get an easy pre board exam question paper in their school will score high in pre boards but not understand where they are lacking. Similarly if students get a very difficult pre board question paper, then they will get discouraged and think they are not good in that subject, and neglect other subjects.
Board authorities will form a committee that will formulate a common question paper for all schools. Also, the same time table will be applicable throughout the state, for pre board exams and board exams. The board has asked all schools to complete their remedial and extra classes by November that is this month. UP board time table 2020 for class 10, as well as UP board time table 2020 for class 12 both are already available.
Now for the pre board exams, UPMSP will release date sheet in November (this month) conduct the pre board exams in the first week of December.
However all this is as per media reports only at this point.
It is expected as of now that the responsibility of organizing the exam, and declaring its result will be of the schools only, and not the board. In a way the board is expected to only be involved in providing the date sheet and question papers. It is also possible that the committee will guide on preparation of questions.
After appearing in the pre board exams and getting its result, students will get a good idea of their strengths and weaknesses. They can then focus on sharpening their strengths and improving their skills in the weak areas.
Schools have also been asked to ensure that students are able to complete their preparations this month only. Only then, they will be able to properly revise and appear in the pre board exams. Further, schools should see what the weak areas of each student is, and help them overcome their problems.
In this academic session, the state government and board had asked all the schools to submit their details so that exam centers can be identified easily. There will be heavy security and scrutiny at all centers including videography and CCTV cameras. As per the data submitted and available on the website upmsp.edu.in, there are a total of 27,405 schools in 90 districts in Uttar Pradesh.

Last year 58,06,922 students had registered for Uttar Pradesh board exams. 26,11,319 had appeared in class 12, and 70.06% students had passed. 31,95,603 students appeared in class 10 exams and 80.07% had passed. UP board results are announced at upmspresults.up.nic.in and upresults.nic.in.
